One of the standout features of the Artmen showroom is the clever use of color to enhance the interplay between the space and the art furniture. With such a large number of items on display, the careful selection of colors and materials was crucial to maximize the utilization of the space. The showroom is divided into six distinct areas, each with its own theme and functionality, creating a multilevel and functional space. The diverse and changeable product displays allow for seamless adaptation to different themes, while maintaining a harmonious overall aesthetic.
Ben Chan and the ChanLi Design team also contributed their own unique furniture and artwork designs to make the client's products stand out. The showroom not only serves as a platform for showcasing art furniture but also provides a warm and inviting atmosphere with a dedicated bar corner where visitors can relax and enjoy their time. The visitor-friendly and practical design ensures that every aspect of the showroom serves a purpose.
The realization of the Artmen showroom involved the use of various materials such as wood, marble, porcelain, stone, and metal. These materials were carefully selected to complement the brand's artistic creations and to create a cohesive and visually striking interior design.
The Artmen showroom is not only a testament to the brand's rich history and artistic vision but also a result of extensive research and collaboration. Ben Chan and the design team conducted thorough research on Artmen's background and business, ensuring that the art furniture and decorative artworks seamlessly fit into the overall interior design, meeting the client's requirements.
One of the main challenges faced during the design process was the need to mix and match nearly 600 products in the showroom. Through iterative discussions and the creation of distinct areas, the products were carefully organized and displayed to achieve the desired effect. The result is a visually stunning and well-organized showroom that showcases the brand's extensive collection.
The Artmen showroom project, which began in December 2017 and was completed in May 2018, is a testament to the successful integration of art, design, and functionality. The showroom has received recognition for its outstanding design, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award acknowledges the showroom's innovative and creative approach, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
The Artmen showroom is a true reflection of the brand's commitment to creating unique and inspiring spaces that blend tradition and modernism. With its stunning design, meticulous attention to detail, and seamless integration of art and furniture, the Artmen showroom is a must-visit destination for art and design enthusiasts.
